2008 Spring Update

Dear Fellow Laborers,

So far, 2008 has been one of the busiest years for GLM. God has truly blessed us this year from our 10th Anniversary Winter Conference where the Lord gave the spirit of victory to hundreds of young people through the most current CYF at McConnell Road. To Him is due ALL glory and praise!

The Lord burdened our heart for something new in 2008. We have started new CYF Rallies in Georgia, Tennessee, and South Carolina every quarter in addition to the ones we have in our Jerusalem, the piedmont of North Carolina. We began January with our 1st CYF rally in Lenoir, NC, at Poovey’s Chapel Baptist Church where the brand new building was packed to capacity with over 38 different church groups. In that one service there were over 26 young people saved.

In the month of February we went to Victory Baptist Church for our 1st CYF South Carolina rally. 7 churches were present and 3 young people saved. We left there and went to Cape Fear Baptist Church in Carolina Beach, NC, where 5 different groups were present, the building was full, and 5 young people were saved. Next to Providence Road Baptist Church in Maiden, NC. 12 different groups were present & several saved.

On to the month of March. We had our 1st CYF Tennessee rally at Gunnings Baptist Church in Blountville, TN. There were 10 churches present and 11 saved in that first meeting together. Then we went back to Hilltop Baptist Church in Thomasville, NC, with over 15 churches present, the building was packed, 5 people were saved, and 1 young man surrendered to preach.

For the month of April we had our 1st CYF Georgia rally at Cross Roads Baptist Church in Lawrenceville, GA. We had over 12 churches present and 3 young people were saved. Then back to NC, at McConnell Road Baptist Church in Greensboro, NC. In this meeting we had over 11 churches present and 5 young men surrendered to preach with their building packed to capacity also!

In the month of May the Cane River Tent Crusade in Burnsville, NC is now in progress. It will continue through the 23rd of May, a Friday evening, which will be our special youth CYF night under the tent. Please make plans to be with us!

As you can tell, it has been very busy this year so far with just our scheduled CYF meetings. This does include the revivals and different meetings we were privileged to have a part in as well. Truly the Lord has done great things this year through GLM.

We are now preparing for our 9th annual Summer Conference to be held back in Jonesboro, GA at Dr. Joe Arthur’s church. We are so excited about what God can still do for this generation. Would you please consider helping us with expenses that are incurred working and putting on these Conferences? We will spend out close to $100,000 to have both conferences this year. There are thousands of dollars per meeting that are not covered in registration fees and with fuel, printing, postage and advertising costs which have sky rocketed over the last few months. Our expenses will be greater than ever, so would you help us as we endeavor to reach this generation?

Thank you so much for your prayers and support for this ministry over the last 10 years. We stand amazed at what the Lord has done. Now is not the time to quit or let up in our labor together. We love you and thank you for all you have done for GLM. Please remember us in your prayers as we remember you.

In His Service,

Bro. Greg
